Having met the criteria (see Subspecialty Certification) to sit for the oral examination in a subspecialty, candidates must submit the completed application along with all of the specified documentation prior to the deadline date established by the AOBOG.

This is a 4 hour oral examination based upon:

	general knowledge of the subspecialty
	the candidate’s log of subspecialty activity
	the candidate’s defense of his/her research paper
	application documentation submitted specific to FPMRS applicants
