Osteopathic Continuous Certification in a SubSpecialty

Re-Certification Examination

The recertification examination in MFM, RE, and GO is designed to assess the diplomat’s fundamental knowledge as well as up-to-date practice-related knowledge referable to current clinical practice guidelines and procedures as performed by the subspecialist.

Recertification must be successfully completed by December 31^st of the expiring year of subspecialty certification. The physician will not be consider Board Certified after the expiration date until the recertification process has been successfully completed.

Certification and recertification are granted by the American Osteopathic Association and maintenance of continued AOA membership in good standing is required.
